Sadie Jeanne is an actor, writer, and producer born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, currently living in Ridgewood, Queens. She began acting in her community theater when she was 9 years old, and began formally studying on-camera acting when she was 15 - and since then all she has done every day is stew and plot and plan on how she is going to get herself on set.
She finds herself most “in the pocket” when she is playing:
-
the quirky and adorkable ingénue (think: Crazy Stupid Love, Gilmore Girls)
-
the dry and cynical 21st century girl (Hacks, The Edge of Seventeen, I Love LA)
-
the headstrong, stubborn, determined protagonist (Yellowjackets, Emma Stone in Birdman, Lady Bird).
She is improv trained, having reached the most advanced level of improv at The Groundlings School, and has been in on-going scene study classes with Adam Marcus for over 4 years, while also taking on intensives and casting workshops, where she receives strong, positive feedback. In New York, she is taking part-time workshops at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting. Sadie has a degree in Film from the University of California, Santa Barbara, which has broadened her artistic capabilities, allowing her to self-produce her own projects, like her half-hour short film Wake Me Up to Drive, a coming-of-age road trip film which she wrote, produced, and starred in. She played the tragic lead in a suspense thriller AFI Thesis film, which premiered at Screamfest LA in October and will continue its festival run throughout the year. Her second short film as a producer/actor/writer combo, "Un-Hinged" will also be released publicly in October.
